Our Mission
AudienceConnections.com is a resource, a community, and a movement for Online Entrepreneurs and Communicative Artists throughout the world who are interested in exploring these disaplines in depth, and how they inform and support each other.
AudienceConnections.com will delve deeply into each of these worlds in their own right, but we will also focus on that immense and fascinating area where they intersect, and the unique knowledge and insights that can be mined from this relationship.
We welcome all comers of genuine passion, warm heart and good spirit - the experienced, the absolute beginner, the sick-of-my-day-job blue/white/green/no-collar worker, the been-there-done-that expert/guru, whole organizations, for profit or non-profit – anyone who is interested in gaining knowledge and inspiration from this increasingly dynamic and symbiotic relationship.

We are committed to helping people and communities across the world follow their passions and elevate their entrepreneurial enterprises and/or artistic careers to astronomical heights.
Though our commitment is primarily focused on nourishing the entrepreneur and communicative artist, our mission will always include promoting a healthy balance between our personal and professional lives. From time to time our training will deal with this.
Michael Louis and AudienceConnections.com are dedicated to getting you where you want to be in your business or artistic career, and will go to great lengths to get you there. Having said this, we are under no illusions that we are the "best" or "perfect" resource for everybody in need of guidence or training.
If the solution is to be found outside our community or specific expertise – at any given time –Michael Louis and the AudienceConnections.com community will go out and find it.
There is nothing beyond our reach.
We check our egos at the door and fully expect subscribers to our community to do the same – regardless of levels of financial stature or background in the business, arts, or entertainment industries.
Our Values
It is our firm belief that hard work, empathy, kindness, mutual respect, flexibility, focus, and a sense of humor (especially about oneself) are essential to attaining our most sought-after goals – whether personal or professional.
We patently reject the old school notion that if you fool someone into buying from you, or "get one over on the other guy" just to make the sale, that you're "doin' a heckuva job" or you've "won" or "you're running your business or career the way a good capitalist should."
We know one thing for sure, this is not how the founding fathers and mothers saw the future of capitalism (and democracy) in our country. In fact, if they were here today, they would probably have a national spanking event for all the perpetrators.
Our forebearers would be thrilled with the technology of the internet and the social/business networking capabilities of today. These innovations are starting to separate the old-school snake oil capitalists from the fair-minded (value driven) good guy capitalists.
In the Web 2.0 world, an individual cannot build a successful business or artsitic career if they are at their core, unethical or deceitful. Sure, anyone with half a brain can make a fast bundle using that good old small print, or doing the shell-game thing, or the bate-and-switch routine... But sooner or later they will be outed.... Exposed.
In the virtual town square they'll be hoisted up the social media flag pole for all to see... And their business or career or repuation will suffer irreparable harm.
It is clear today that watchdogging has become its own industry – for some an obcession and civic duty, and yet others an amusing hobby.
With all the forums, blogs, websites, networking sites/services, video posting sites and official watch dog agencies in every nook and cranny of the Internet, if something is rotten, it will eventually be sniffed out.
As part of the AudienceConnections.com community we prefer artists, marketers, and beginners who have warm blood coursing through their veins.
Folks with their still in-tact reptilian brains need not apply.

This includes helping to identify viable markets for initiating a new business or for optimizing an existing business.
- Using multimedia viral marketing, video, social networking, and other exploding technologies/trends to arouse the public imagination and ignite a firestorm of curiosity around a product, service, or cause.
- Personal and professional development, confidence building, and the latest breakthroughs in the science of success and accelerated human growth. This includes, among other things: NLP, also known as Neuro-linguistic Repatterning or simply using proven scientific principles to "break old patterns and habits and quickly forming new and better ones". Also included here is identifying specific road blocks, emotional drains, and daily distractions that prevent the individual from advancing in their work and/or life.
Communicative Artists: All performers, actors, speakers, writers, vocalists, musicians, comics, cinematic/video artists, spoken word artists, performance poets, among others - of all experience levels, styles, genres, and media. All artists who join our community are eligible to receive exclusive materials, tools, and coaching for:
- Improving and fine tuning artistic abilities, talent, technical and presentation skills through use of the communicative arts or with the assistance of outside communicative artists.
- Internet marketing of products, services, and causes related or unrelated to their talents. The idea here is to use the artist's talent(s) and general artisitc knowledge not only to sell themselves and their talent, but for a product, service, or cause as well.
- Learning the latest, most innovative principles of online marketing, copywriting, product development/launch, and technological tools – including Search Engine Optimization [SEO], website development, video/audio use, among others – to bring about more powerful audience connections, increased partronage, increased audience size and fan base, and ability to get noticed by the right people.

Just a little bit about my past experience, a brief summary for now.
- Director, producer, public speaker, emcee-host, and performer for over 600 performance events over nearly 12 years.
- Produced and facilitated over 8000 individual performances for communicative artists of all kinds: writers, actors, comedians, public speakers, vocalists, musicians, improvisers, performance poets, literary-traditional poets, and the more experimental forms of performance.

On A Personal Note
From Michael Louis
If you make the decision to join the AudienceConnections.com community, I feel compelled to tell you something:
We (and I) cannot do anything without some degree of fun, looseness, or humor.
Sure, I can be as serious and professional as the next guy – when appropriate – but all my friends and collegues will tell you: I am mentally, physically, and spiritually incapable of not having fun and finding at least some degree of humor or lightness in almost everything.
I also have personally found – and scientific testing has backed me up on this – that the human brain and body absorb and retain more information when the individual is in a state of enjoyment... meaning in a relaxed state.
This is probably one of the main reasons I got into the communicative arts and entrepreneurial fields to begin with: It's freeing.
Take a quick look at your own life. Think about the times you've spent with folks who take themselves too seriously, who can’t laugh at themselves – you know, those people who complain a little too much or who are constantly negative or critical. Doesn’t that make you kind of uncomfortable? Doesn’t it drain your energy... even a little?
Sometimes after I’ve walked away from one of these encounters, even if only after a few seconds of interaction, I have to make an effort to shake the feeling off of me.
Contrast that with the people we consciously choose to hang out with. The ones we really want to be with. The ones we love to hang out with: our true friends, partners, family members, and valued collegues. The ones that make us feel comfortable in our skin.
This is what we're after with the AudienceConnections.com community.
We want to inspire each other, to learn and grow as entrepreneurs and artists and take the world by storm.
We want to open our lives to that most basic drive we have inside us: the need for an authentic human connection.
We choose to enjoy the ride.
